How can we forgive?

  • Always pray to God to forgive

Session III - Problems

Prov 2:1-5 (guarded, protected, safe)
  • Going to church when the church is open to us.
  • Studying the word of God.
I. If you will receive vs.1 (my child)
  • What are we focus on?
  • Have you seen growth in your life? Don't worry about others.
  • What keeps you from being God! or Spend time with God...
  • Daily Bible study (read the word) Prov 13:24
  • Our kids need to fear God.
II. If you listen then apply vs.2
  • Understanding the messages on Sunday.
  • Pay Attention.
  • Apply the Bible in our lives.
  • Learn to recognize test. (pray)
III. If you will cry out for wisdom vs.3
  • Trials bring eternal benefit IF we endure it.
  • Be specific to your prayers.
  • Wait on the Lord. 
IV. Watch if God answers vs.5
  • Fear of the Lord is a lack of his understanding.
  • Teach your children how to fear the Lord.
  • We need to set a time with the Lord.

Session II - Desperate for love (Samson)
Judges 13-16
Judges 14:2-3

  • The devil wants to destroy our marriages.
  • Do not become your child's best friend, that's the devil working on us to destroy our families.
  • Backsliding on your family is like a slow leak, the damage will be worse in time.
  • Don't let the devil find a weak spot.
Session III -  Split Session (Woman) Encouraging your husband
  1. Voice your gratitude to your husband - Prov 31:11-12 (He choose you to be a blessing to your husband.)
  2. Look for your servant's heart - Find praises to let him know, give praises to your children, giving anyone praises show people you care.
  3. Cultivate patience - 1 Cor. 13:4 - Patience, Don't blow off steam.
  4. Praise your husbands work-strength & encouragement, no negativity, Eph 4:29.
  5. Always be together (Unity) with finances- Prov 23:4-5 - Feeling guilty, be honest with spending, always give 10% to God from the top, encourage your husband with finances, always talk about major purchases, compromise.
  6. Faithfulness (encouragement) - Loyalty to you & the Lord, Forgive & forget if not loyal.
  7. Take time to listen - Jam 1:19 - 2 ears, 1 mouth is what we have, try to interested in his likings.
  8. You chose him -  Song of Solomon 1:16
  9. Don't settle your relationship - Song of Solomon 7:10 - Intimacy & Passion - 1 Cor 7:5 - You need to give him that passion & intimacy, do not be negative about intimacy, he is your life companion, do date night together.
  10. Have a playful side - Prov. 17:22 - write love notes, it will tickle his fancy when he is happy, you are happy, do not criticize their body, they must be encouraged, criticism brings scares, encouragement heals - Psa. 27:14
Session IV - Living in a happy home (Happy Christians)

Giving by Faith

Text: Malachi 3:8-11

-Commanded to preach on the topic.
1. 500 verses about prayer

3. 2,000+ verses about money

  • 15% of what Christ taught was about money.
  • Being happy & joyful you must be obedient
  • Mat 6:21; everyone spends $ on what is important to them.
  • People spend their money, sports, entertainment, clothing, cable, video games, games, online tv, poor there soul on entertainment, lifestyle, status.
  • Tithing is between you & the Lord.

1. The Crime vs. 8 (will a man rob God?) yes

  • 10% to God - 90% you get to keep
  • Gen 14:20 Abraham gave to good 10% to machisadet.
  • 2 Cor 9:7

2. The consequences vs.9; They robbed, so they were (cursed)

  • God will get his 10% with some life unexpected murphy.

3. The command vs 10a

  • 10% Tithing (Prov 3:9)
  • Hard work & OT (who gave you the time)
  • It was giving to you by God so he can take it anytime.
  • We are stewards with everyone & everything in our life (kids, money, husband)
  • Mat 28:20 (missionaries)
4. God's commitment -vs.10b (prove me)
  • Poor blessings on your life.
  • Take the road blocks out of the way, to see the blessings.

  • Ther comes a need and want moment, make the right choice ask yourself is this a need or a want?
5. The cure vs. 11 (Tithing Beginning)
  • Deut 14:22-23, 28-29
  • He wants your obidience, not your $
  • If you are faithful to God, he will be faithful in your blessing.

  • Fundamental - We stick with the fundamental in our services conversation.
  • Baptist - Original music, branded
Why am I a Baptist because of trace the heritage to Jesus Christ.

B-Biblical Authority, accuracy (2 Tim 3:16, 2 Pet 1:20-21 (Bible) Psalms 12:7
-Heb 12 (where is your struggle) the bible can help.
-John 17:17 (strive to sin less) Acts 17:11
-The bible is the authority of the church.

A- Autonomy of the local church; Col 1:18, Eph 1:22.
P- Priesthood of the Believer; Heb 4:14, 4:16
T- Two Offices
  1. 1 Tim 3:1 (bishop overseer) elder - another word, pastor -Sheppard & or minister.
  2. 1 Tim 3:8 (decons) love God servants, faithful, soul winners.

  • Praise God when persecuted (Act 5:41)

Are you a peacemaker?

Text: Mat 5:1-9, Mat 5:9

1. The pain of sinful pride.

  • Peace is found in the absence of sin.
  • Isaiah 48:22 (no Jesus, no peace)
  • our own sins
  • others sins
2. The price of peace
  • Identify the sin and go to war.
3. The prince of peace
  • John 19:16-18, John 19:28-30
  • He paid the price of our sin, Jesus was brought to this world to take all the sin from the old testament and be dead at the cross, by him dying at the cross all sin was paid in fuel. For our future and present, we must receive the salvation by faith as a gift, we must accept the gift.
4. The position of peacemaker
  • 2 Cor 5:17-18
  • We must attack the sin
  • Are you a peacemaker?
  • Love others and hate sin.
