Book Review-The Millionaire Next Door

The Millionaire Next Door (Stanley/Danko)

This is the never before the unearthed story about America's rich-and how they got that way. According to authors Thomas J Stanley and William D Danko, most people have it all wrong about how you become wealthy in America. It is seldom inheritance or advanced degrees or even intelligence that builds fortunes in this country. Wealth in America is more often the result of hard work, diligent savings, and living below your means. The Millionaire Next Door will tell you the seven common denominators that show up again and again among those who have accumulated wealth.

How trials take different length of time

Text Job 12:5

Tempted to question God, but we shouldn't because we are God's children. . . Job 2:9-10. (how to respond back instead fo cursing God)

  • How long or How deep? Keep in the faith of the Lord, he will not leave you or forsake you. . . John 14:18

  • We must hold on to God through our trials, 1 Pet 1:3-9 - our trials are not only for us, but is also for our family, our friends to see. God is faithful (hang on to God) latch onto the word, John 16:33 (good cheer)
