Love is spelled T.I.M.E.

Text: Pro 22:6, Eph 6:4

1. Provide Restraints - 1 Sam 1:10-11, 1 Sam 1:23, 1 Sam 2:18-19, 1 Sam 2:12, 1 Sam 2:16-17, 1 Sam 3:11-13.

  • Stop letting things get in the way of your time with your family. (Work, Church, Activities)
  • You have the responsibility to enforce rules and consequences when they are broken.
  • You are not their friend, you are the parent.
2. Provide Resources
  • The Bible - 2 Tim 3:15, 2 Tim 3:14.
  • If you can control technology take it away. (TV, X Box, Tablets, Phone.) Deut 6:6-9
  • Prayer - Mat 18:16
  • Church - Heb 5:10
3. Provide Right Relationships
  • Godly Influence - 2 Tim 1:5
  • You are the books you read, the TV show you watch & the friends you kept.
  • Grandparents
  • Mothers (The hand that Rocks & the Cradle rules the world) be the woman of Character.
  • Fathers (2.7 encounters a day) Eph 6:4, (15 seconds per encounter)
Please try to beat that statistics, (tell me, show me, involve me)

Is the Journey too Great for Thee?

1 Kin 19:4-7

Does God allow us to bear more than we can handle?

  • NO & YES (1 Cor 10:13)
1 Kin 19:7 (the walk too long)

Why--YES-- is not about you, is about learning about God... So God will give us more than what we can handle...
  • Mat 11:29 (yolk) Gods arm around your neck
1. Elijah's Accomplishments (1 Kin 17-19)
  • He challenged God's enemies -17:1 (we must stand up to evil doers, Christians must stand!
  • He called down God's fire -18:36
  • He concluded Israels Draught -18:41-46.
2. Elijah's Adversaries
  • Evil powers -vs 18:25 (you must pray FAST when Christians need God)
  • Corrupt politicians -vs 16:29, 1 Kin 18:4 (Jezebel wanted to Eliminate)
  • False Prophets -vs. 18:41
    • we grow weary because we are doing it alone.
    • we stand alone! it tries to wear us down.
3. Elijah's Appeal
  • His flesh was weary -vs 18:45, 19:1
  • His view was warped -vs 18:45
  • We need to remember that some people have it worse than we do.
4. Elijah's Angel
  • His sleep -vs 19:5
  • His Sustenance -vs 19:6
  • When you think when things are hard just get some rest. 
  • Just take a day off and do nothing.
  • God cares what goes in your body, eat healthy so you are not tired.
5. Elijah's Advancement -vs 19:19

Family Should Work & Be Together

Execute Judgment - Decision (Gabel) being judged by God.

  • Proverbs 2 (Judgement)
  • We need a plan, set for when things happen.
  • Sometimes we don't know what comes, especially with our family (kids, husband, our teens)
  • Is what you do not what you say?
  • What is proper & right? (communicate)
  • Show MERCY... teach & guide too much MERCY can be foolish.
  • Competition on stress especially with our family & family in Christ.
  • Zacharia 8:16 (Truth, Truth, John 17:17 speak)
  • We must think before we speak about the truth, they might miss interpreting what you're saying.
Zach 8:16 and peace in your gates, HOME, REFUGE.

  • Quiet tranquility
  • Free commotion
  • Harmony in concur
  • Steady together (trouble)

A Character Study of Sarah

Text: Gen 12:1-5

Sarah shows what a godly woman should be...
  1. Sarah the follower vs 5
    • Her husband was a wanderer
    • Her husband wavered
    • Her husband was worried some
      • She was submissive
      • She was a servent - Gen 18:6
      • She was supportive
  2. Sarah the fruitness - Gen 16:1
  3. Sarah the faithless - Gen 16:2-4
    • Sarah lack faith & patience
  4. Sarah the faithfully - Gen 22:1-2
    • prove, solicit sin
  5. Sarah the faithful - Gen 21:6-7, Heb 11:6
    • The work of a mother is never done, the list goes on . . . thank you
    • Sarah made it to heaven because of their faith. . . Sarah, Isaac, Jacob, Juda, Kind David, then came Jesus.

Removing Heavens Handcuff's

Mat 13:53-58, Gen 1:1, Gen 1:3, Gen 1:6, Gen 1:11 (and God said) or (and it was so) Gen 1:14, Gen 1:20-21, Gen 1:24-25, Gen 1:26 (God is so powerful) Psa 78:41, Mat 16:19.

Are you putting God in the spot to break your handcuffs?

1. Christ Attempt - vs. 54, John 3:16.

  • The information flows free all around the globe... internet, phones, etc.
  • Jesus made an attempt in his own town.
2. The People's Astonishment - vs. 55
  • Mary knew what he was here for
3. The Peoples Apprehension - vs. 55
  • Christ's Family - John 7:1-5 (resentment with siblings)
  • Their Familiarity - ("Breath Content")
4. The People's Self Arrest - vs. 57-58
  • Chained by rejection
  • Chained by unbelief
  • Murder, rape, thief, suicide.
  • If you call upon the Lord and as God, in your heart, you can be forgiven. 
  • Mat 9:22, Mat 9:27, Luk 17:19, Mar 9:20.
  • Is the Faith in you that removes your sin by accepting him in your heart?
  • The ones who will, they will go to Hell, and they are the ones who don't have faith & do not accept Jesus.
5. It is Brother's Abasement
  • to believe meant...
  • To surrender do everything with the spirit of Jesus, trials will keep coming. The trials stop coming when you get to heaven. 
  • To serve, James 1:1, Jude 1:1.

Principles of Relationship

I. Relationship with God (Priority)
    • Saved & Savior relationship
    • Father & Child relationship
    • Psa 46:1, Rom 10:17, Phil 4:7
II. Marriage Relationship (Gen 2:24)
    • Husband & Wife needs to grow.
    • Trust each other.
    • Keeping our word "say what we mean & mean what we say"
III. Child Relationship (Psa 127:3)
    • Consistency
      • If we are wrong say Sorry.
      • Mean what you say.
    • Dad's (don't provoke them)
      • Apologized
    • Ladies (by our behavior, we can win our families by how we carry our selves)
      • Obedience
      • Standards (be consistent)
    • Responding (busy) God gave us enough time are we taking the time. (time management)
IV. Church Relationship
    • Attendance should be guessing on whether to show up.
    • Building a brother & sister relationship in serving together.
    • Make it a priority to come to church & serve.
    • The church is the tool we need to live our Christian life.
V. Work Relationship
    • Best worker our boss ever had.
    • Be diligent to your work.
    • Do it unto the Lord.
    • Is not fora check, is to reflect our self unto the Lord.
    • Is not for them is for him (God)
VI. Relationship to the Lost
    • The Lord accepted sinner.
    • We separate but we don't isolate from the world. "They Need Christ."
    • Be the light unto others.
