Who is God . . . Keeper, King of all the earth, King of Kings, Kind, Kinsman Redeemer

(Kinsma) kindred, one who redeems (redeemer) avenger, deliverer, one who ransoms, rescuer, one who purchases to redeem, one who brings forth out of 

Kinsman:  blood relative, especially a male; relative by marriage; person of same nationality or ethnic group
Synonyms: folks, kin, relation

Redeemer: one who redeems
Redeem: to buy or pay off; clear by payment; to buy back; to recover; Theological-to deliver from sins and its consequences
Synonyms: purchase, ransom, reclaim, restore

I. Our Debt in Sin
  • We are sinners (Romans 3:10, 23)
  • We have incurred a penalty of debt (Romans 5:12, 6:23a)
  • The debt is more than we can pay (Galatians 3:13)
II. Our Redemption in Christ 
(I Peter 1:18-19, Revelation 5:9)
  • Redeemed from the slavery of sin (Exodus 6:6, Isaih 44:22, Romans 3:24, Ephesians 1:7, Colossians 1:14)
  • Redeemed to inherit eternal and abundant life (Romans 6:23b, Hebrews 9:12, 15)
  • Redeemed to have a relationship with God (Psalm 103:4, Romans 6:4, Galtians 4:5)
III. Our Relationship with God
  • Trust (Proverbs 3:5, Isaiah 43:1, Jeremiah 50:34)
  • Commitment (I Peter 4:19)
  • Love (producing by doing His will) (John 15, Titus 2:14)
