Text: Proverbs 31

1. Virtue

• Dictionary: moral excellence; goodness; righteousness
• Strong's: (OT) strength, might, efficientcy, wealth, army
• (NT) strength, power, ability; power of performing miracles; moral power and excellence of soul; a virtuous course of thought, feeling, action; any particular moral excellence, as modesty, purity.

2. Virtue in the Bible

• Old Testament
• Ruth was called a virtuous woman (3:11)
• A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband (Prov 12:4)
• Who can find a virtuous woman? (Prov 31:10)

3. God's Virtue (using Proverbs 31)

• V12-does good (Deut 30:5)
• V13, 19, 24, 27-works willing (Phil 1:6, 2:13)
• V14-15, 24, 27-provides (Gen 22:8)

Who can find a virtuous woman? A woman who walks with the Lord and honors Him with her life will find it a natural thing to walk in the spirit and show forth virtue.
